Phases
Of life. Of love. Of light reflected on the moon's gritty surface. I am reminded of the divine cyclicity of it all. It's almost like clockwork. Seasons come and go with these repetitive phases as if it were all connected in some way... Of course it is connected. At times, it feels like we are going through the same things over and over, or going through different things and seemingly learning the same lessons. As time progresses and we continue to do so with it, it can feel easier to navigate. Maybe it's because it's no longer new. The pain. The disappointment. The joy. With each experience, we get to explore the systematic nature of these emotions and how they lead us to become what we are destined to be. Some of us thrive, some of us just try to survive, some of us continuously ponder, searching for answers and asking, "why?" Some of us seem to perish amongst the static and noise, lying down waiting to die.
With an almost constant source of friction existing somewhere in the atmosphere, it can feel almost impossible to overcome things that don't even concern our individual beings. Our compassion, empathy, and desire for positive change become the bindings of an inescapable dream on repeat. We long for the balance and peace that practicing these things brings and when we begin to taste them, too soon do their flavors begin to fade. A pattern of distrust, destruction, death, and rebirth without end leaves us infantile. Battling a disposition of poor communication, selfishness, and irritability, we are faced with constantly learning to share honestly, give willingly, and love unconditionally while juggling aging and maintaining the energy of our youth. Everything comes and gos. That's how it is. We find the unique beauty of what is as we cherish the timeless nostalgia of what was and welcome the reinvigorating majesty of what is to be.
Though we're not always able to directly manipulate the many facets of our lives that ultimately create the structure of our lives to be what they are, we are always able to choose how to embrace and move through those facets in order to produce the best lives we can for ourselves and those that we care about. Like Mama Moon, we are mighty vessels situated in the dark of night, meticulously positioned and powered to reflect any light. As we float and flow through our respective realities, we remain tethered to a larger interconnected system that influences the cycles of our internal world just as Earth's rotations influence the seasons of our external world. Once nurtured and protected, Divine consciousness fuels our awareness of navigation or stagnation within these inevitable phases. This offering of clarity allows us to fulfill our divine purposes whether in complete illumination or complete darkness as divinely intended. We are cosmic.
